Around six years ago I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease, which came as quite a shock! As you will know this entailed a very big change in my diet and in my whole approach to eating out, cooking and shopping. It also had knock on effects within the family, all having to be aware of cross contamination issues and having to prepare separate dishes and bake separate cakes, bread etc. which was time consuming.
Some gluten free food can be very good, but in other areas it is a struggle to find products that are comparable to their gluten containing counterparts, especially taste. Having tried many shop bought products and after extensive cake and bread making I came to the conclusion that some products are best when they have been freshly prepared.
I started this business with the idea of finding products you can make yourself with a taste everyone in the family will enjoy. Just imagine Coeliac or not, making cakes and treats everyone will love the taste of. Using my 25 years of experience in the food industry and extensive travels around the world sourcing food and beverages I aim to find gluten free products that are high quality, easy to make and store (ours can be frozen once baked) and most of all taste great to everyone.
