Ingredients
- 1 packet of 1.2.3 Gluten Free Brownie Mix
- 15oz canned chick peas, drained
- ½ cup (120ml) + 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- ¼ cup (63g) applesauce
- 2 Tsp. baking powder
Method
Preheat the oven to 350F/180C (160C Fan).
Generously grease 9” x 13” pan with non-stick spray or line with parchment.
In bowl of food processor, mix the drained chick peas with 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil. Then mix until very smooth.
In bowl of mixer with paddle attachment (or in a large mixing bowl and mix by hand) place brownie mix, chick pea/vegetable oil mixture, ½ cup vegetable oil, apple sauce and baking powder. Mix well.
Pour mixture into the pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out nearly clean. Baking times may vary by appliance.
Cool, then cut. Makes approximately 24 brownies.
